About Knihter

Knihter is Ascedia’s WordPress and analytics team. We use the Knihter name to distinguish our technical specialization from Ascedia’s broader marketing services. Ascedia handles marketing strategy, creative, campaigns, and .NET development. Knihter handles WordPress, HubSpot, analytics, and custom integrations. Same company, different specializations.

Our office is in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, about 20 minutes north of Milwaukee. We work with clients throughout Wisconsin and across the U.S. remotely. Most development work doesn’t require in-person meetings, though we’re available for Milwaukee-area clients who prefer that.

Small. We’re senior-level specialists, not a large agency with multiple tiers of staff. You work directly with developers who have 20+ years of experience, not junior team members or outsourced contractors.

It means we’ve completed advanced certification, manage 60+ sites on their platform, and have direct access to their engineering team for complex issues. We know Pantheon’s architecture deeply and can leverage features most developers don’t use.

Yes. Most clients retain us monthly for updates, security monitoring, performance optimization, and troubleshooting. Support packages start at $500/month for basic sites and scale based on complexity and support needs. We also offer project-based support for clients with internal teams.

We do both. If your current site can be improved through optimization, security updates, feature additions, or accessibility improvements, we work with what you have. If it’s built on outdated technology, locked down by a previous vendor, or structurally flawed, we recommend rebuilding.

We handle vendor lockout recovery. This includes regaining access to hosting accounts, transferring domains, recovering databases, and rebuilding sites when source code isn’t available. We’ve helped dozens of organizations escape vendor lock-in situations.

Yes. We often work alongside internal development teams for projects requiring specialized expertise they don’t have in-house. We provide code documentation, training, and knowledge transfer so your team can maintain what we build.

We build for WCAG 2.2 AA compliance from the start, not as an afterthought. This includes semantic HTML, ARIA implementation, keyboard navigation, screen reader optimization, and color contrast compliance. We can also audit and remediate existing sites. Many education and healthcare organizations legally require this.

Primary focus is Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager. We also work with other Analytics services and custom analytics implementations. We set up conversion tracking, e-commerce tracking, custom events, cross-domain tracking, and build custom reporting dashboards.
